Peace OUT Spoken Word Night
Join The Peace Museum for a free evening of poetry at Bradford's Bread + Roses from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday 30th September. The evening is to celebrate The Peace Museum’s 2019 exhibition, Peace Out, going on tour. It will feature performances from local punk poet Bernie-the-bolt and other LGBTQ+ poets, followed by an open-mic, where any guests are welcome to share their work. The café at Bread + Roses will be staying open from 4pm on the day to allow you to see the exhibition before the event begins, and join us for some pride-themed badge making!

We're taking the physical version of this exhibition on tour! Our first stop is at Bread + Roses from the 1st of September to the 29th October 2021. The exhibition aims to explore the journey from Stonewall, a moment in history that exemplifies violence perpetrated against LGBTQ+ people and their violent retaliation, and marks the beginning of the following struggle for equality and justice. It has been updated for 2021, and we are continuing to add to the project as it goes on tour. Drop in and visit at 14 North Parade, Bradford, BD1 3HT Monday to Friday 9.30am till 4pm.
